In the interests of safety I should slowly back away from the ocean slowly and look like a fool. I would pay money to see a seashore filled with people following that advice! I can see them now, leaving their cars, approaching the waves, and then walking backwards across the sand until they get back to the street. "No, Billy! Be careful! Don't turn your back on the ocean: it could turn at any time!"
Posted by RussNews On 12/25/05 At 10:22 PM
Wonderful Christmas Story http://www.half-dozen.net/News/OldNews/00000275.htm Mugabe gored by goat. In the scrotum.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Posted by RussNews On 12/23/05 At 11:23 PM
Excellent Advice http://www.half-dozen.net/News/OldNews/00000274.htm Biritiba Mirim, Brazil, has no remaining room in the cemetary and can't legally create a new one. Environmental concerns prohibit cremation so, faced with this crisis, their mayor has come up with excellent advice that we can all use: don't die. His attempts to outlaw dying, however, aren't likely to be ruled constitutional.
Posted by RussNews On 12/13/05 At 10:20 PM
A Concerned Company http://www.half-dozen.net/News/OldNews/00000273.htm Who says large companines don't have our best interests at heart? Scott's Miracle-Gro, the mainstay of the pot-growing population, is telling its employees to quit smoking or be fired.

It's their company, and there's no requirement to work there.
Posted by RussNews On 12/11/05 At 03:38 PM
Sad Day http://www.half-dozen.net/News/OldNews/00000272.htm While Richard Pryor's death is a pretty sad thing, Sen McCarthy's is a bit sadder for me.

I remember his campaign stickers. They were shaped like the pop flowers that were all the rage in the 60s and 70s, blue and white.
Posted by RussNews On 12/10/05 At 04:04 PM
In a Word... http://www.half-dozen.net/News/OldNews/00000271.htm Organic is as organic does, until Congress gets involved.

Can I trade this world for one not run by greed and self-interest? Please? Pretty please?
Posted by RussNews On 12/06/05 At 04:28 PM
