10/20/2005: "Canadian War Criminal!"

No, he didn't commit atrocities in the recent war with Denmark over Hans Island, and he isn't even really Canadian, but I couldn't resist the headline.

Some Rwandan living in Toronto got arrested and charged with two counts of genocide, two counts of crimes against humanity, and three counts of war crimes. Still, not bad for a Canadian, a traditionally peaceful people unless they're on the ice playing hockey.

In other news, the media is not doing its job. According to the headline (emphasis mine) "Bird flu worries only a third of U.S. residents"

How are we supposed to be panicking and running for the hills because we're all doomed if 2/3 of the population isn't fleeing with us?
