10/19/2005: "Afghan News"

Yes, the knitted blankets are great and my grandmother made a few for me, but the destruction of the Buddhas pissed me (and a lot of the world) off.

Now that the elections have taken place it's not surprising that tribe and warlord allegiance has given a former regional governor in whose Bamiyan province two of the statues were demolished a new role in the new parliament.

So much for karma.
