08/15/2005: "Deadlines"

I'm quite familiar with Douglas Adams's love of the swooshing sound of deadlines flying by, and it looks as if I'm not the only one.

It's reported that pesky problems with autonomy, women's rights, and various theocratic issues have kept the Iraquis from fashioning their constitution. My excuses were either "busy putting out a fire" or illness.
