08/05/2005: "Historic Day"

Today marks the sixtieth anniversary of this horrible event.

I'm not sure I'm qualified to cast any judgement. I wasn't around then, but nearly everyone who was thinks it was a good thing to do. Hardly anyone blames this clown, but what I think is worse is nothing marks this even worse event.

I wish I'd made a note when I learned about the one known Japanese who was working at the Hiroshima shipyard and survived the blast. A few days later he went to Nagasaki and survived a second one. That is so totally cool.
